Altinkum - Didim (Golden Sands)

Altinkum means 'golden sands', and this friendly and relaxed resort boasts three sandy beaches, over 100 restaurants and bars, excellent shops and a vibrant market every Saturday.

The main village area is only a short walk from the beach front, promenade and harbour, and the wide range of activities available makes Altinkum an ideal location for people of all ages. There is also a new waterpark close by - a bonus for those with children.

In relation to the other resorts, property prices are particularly competitive in Altinkum and over the last year, thousands of foreigners have bought here as a result. For a good standard two-bed apartment within a ten-minute to the, currently you can expect to pay anything from around £25,000. In Altinkum most houses and villas can currently be purchased for less than £80,000 (although this does depend upon their location, state of repair and size).

Altinkum is a one hour and fifteen minutes drive from Bodrum airport, and just over two hours from Izmir airport.
