Yalikavak is situated on the north western side of the Bodrum Peninsula – just a stone’s throw from Aegean Hills. It’s roughly 18 kilometres from Bodrum town (that’s about 15 minutes in the car) and is a wonderful mix of laidback local life and modern comfort.
The village was first settled in 2000 BC and has ruins from the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine eras. Once a small sponge-divers village, Yalikavak has become an important resort town – and not just for its famous meatball restaurants ….
It is home to a first-class international marina and also plays host to the established, and popular, Xuma Beach Club where purchasers of the Aegean Hills villas will have VIP access to facilities including jet-skiing, wind-surfing, wake-boarding and fly fishing.
Yalikavak Marina is located on the northern shore of the Bodrum Peninsula and is a short drive from Aegean Hills. A state of the art water filtration system means it is one of the few marinas in the world boasting a Blue Flag award. The marina hosts a number of international sailing events throughout the year and thrives in the summer months when you can immerse yourself in a variety of superb restaurants and designer shops. The marina is suitable for a variety of water sports and it has the capacity to hold 450 yachts up to 65m in length.
